Richard E. Conley, 68, of Mary Jane Avenue, died Thursday Feb. 1, 2007 at home. He was the husband of Sandra J. (Henry) Conley.
Mr. Conley was born March 28, 1938 in Whitinsville, the son of the late Edmond and M. Florence (Phoenix) Conley and attended schools in Sutton. A resident of Uxbridge for 47 years, Mr. Conley owned and operated Dick’s Rug and Carpet Cleaning in Uxbridge for 35 years. He had previously lived in Manchaug.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, Mr. Conley is survived by a daughter Darlene L. Conley of Narragansett, RI ; 4 sons David W. Conley of Brimfield, Douglas J. Conley of Oxford, Duane E. Conley of Douglas, and Darin M. Conley of Uxbridge; 5 grandchildren, Trina Reynolds of Warwick, RI, Megan Conley and Chelsea Conley both of Douglas, Kelsey Conley of Oxford, and Brett Conley of Brimfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday February 4, 2007 at 4 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 North Main St., (Rt 122) Uxbridge. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 1 – 4 PM prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Uxbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
