Philip Green's daughter-in-law in '10 minute aggravated burglary ordeal' – The Mirror

Magda Palos – the wife of Philip’s stepson, Brett – was showering when a man allegedly broke into her home
Sir Philip Green’s daughter-in-law has been involved in an alleged case of aggravated burglary which saw millions of jewels stolen from her home.
Magda Palos, 37, was showering at home in St John’s Wood, North London, when 41-year-old Robert Lewis is alleged to have broken in and approached her while holding wire cutters.
It is claimed that Magda’s six-year-old daughter had been at home at the time of the alleged crime.
Robert is said to have demanded jewels and money while holding a pair of 12-inch wire cutters while Magda was wearing only a towel and while her daughter was also present in the room.
Magda is married to Philip’s stepson, Brett Palos, with the alleged incident said to have taken place at their £18 million property on 10 December 2016.
With the case now in court, Prosecutor Roger Smart outlined the case against Robert Lewis.
"The burglar gained entry to the property having forced open the window,” he explained.
"Having gained entry to the property, the burglar armed with the large pair of wire cutters went inside the house, at some point around 7.15am,” the lawyer continued.
"He picked up Mr Palos' briefcase and then made his way to the upper floors of the property. Mrs Palos had in fact just come out of the shower and was naked, save for being wrapped in a towel, when they walked in the room,” he said.
"The burglar was holding a large pair of wire cutters in one hand in front of his chest. The prosecution say he had brought the item with him and at the time of doing so he intended to use it as a weapon,” he added.
It is alleged Robert ordered: "I just want your jewellery and cash – I'm not going to hurt you, I just want everything" and then is alleged to have pointed to Magda's young daughter and demanded jewellery be handed to him.
He allegedly told Magda to open the dresser drawers in her room and put all the jewelery in the drawers in the briefcase before taking her mobile phone.
Robert is then accused of instructing Magda not to raise the alarm until 10 minutes after he had left the scene.
The trial continues.
