Two hotel maids were charged yesterday with stealing more than $100,000 worth of jewelry from a room at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, according to Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley.
Ramatu Deen, 27, of Roslindale and Ailina Fernandes, 30, of Quincy alledgedly stole a pearl necklace, a gold chain, a silver watch, a gold bracelet, a silver bracelet and several silver chains from a hotel room Sunday morning while the guests who occupied the room were at brunch, the DA’s office reports. The guests attended a wedding Saturday night at the hotel and were in charge of the gifts.
