LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police say they’ve arrested a cleaning woman for allegedly stealing jewelry and cash from her employer’s home.
According to an arrest warrant, the incident took place on March 27. Police say 32-year-old Dana M. Sutton was employed as a cleaning lady at a home on Leicester Circle, near the intersection of S. Hurstbourne Pkwy. and Shelbyville Road. Her employer — a resident of the home — noticed that jewelry and cash were missing, and called police.
When officers questioned Sutton, she allegedly admitted to taking the property. Police say they later searched her home and found some of the stolen items. According to the arrest warrant, police determined that Sutton had pawned one of the stolen items at Little Johns pawn shop on S. 4th Street.
Sutton was taken into custody Thursday night and charged with theft.
